Natural products for GREAT SKIN

We all have had or are having some issues with our skin. In search of a quick fix we spend endless amounts of money on attempting to alleviate skin conditions and in some cases correct the damage caused by the condition.

We found some really great natural products THAT WORK, that we had to share here at the Fixate Headquarters! Check your cabinets, some of these products you already own. An affordable alternative to the pricey products on the market but in some cases are comparable or have even better results.

 Jojoba Oil

This oil is great for clearing acne scarring as well as helping with oily skin. That's right although it may seem counterproductive by putting oil on oily skin. Our sebaceous glands release sebum and when hormone levels or diets are out of balance they create excess. Jojoba oil removes sticky build up and also removes access oil! Because of this it is a great makeup remover. It is an emollient, rich in iodine making it a great bacteria fighting mamma jamma. Also excellent for a light hair growth oil to seal ends and protect from breakage.

 Turmeric

This ancient spice has been used for centuries for multiple health benefits and has several benefits for the skin. Turmeric helps reduce redness and significantly reduces inflammation. This is due to its' anti-inflammatory and anti bacterial properties. This natural antiseptic property makes this ideal as a mask to rid the skin of acne causing bacteria. Potent Beauty Tip:  Mix 1 teaspoon of this spice with 1/2 cup of plain yogurt and a teaspoon of honey for an effective anti- acne mask and to see a huge difference in your skin.

 Aloe Vera

These days, aloe has an entire industry behind it. Its juices are used in cosmetics and personal-care products such as moisturizers, soap, shaving cream, etc.  Aloe creams have a calming effect on the skin and have been shown to help reduce itchiness and inflammation.

The plant is known for keeping skin hydrated and clear. It’s rich in antioxidants such as and vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, and it contains seven of the eight essential amino acids. It’s also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. One study found an aloe vera topical gel helped treat acne lesions when used alone or combined with a tretinoin cream.  Another study found aloe has anti-aging potential: The researchers gave 30 women doses of aloe vera gel twice a day for three months. The women saw significant improvements in their wrinkles and the elasticity of their skin thanks to an increase in collagen production.

Beauty Tip: take an empty ice try, squeeze 100% aloe vera gel into each compartment. Allow to freeze, use these cubes to reduce pimples, soothe puffy under eyes in the morning.
